Frequently Asked Questions
To register to vote, you must be a U.S. Citizen and must be 18 years old by December 31. Other criteria are included on the voter registration form.
You will only need to register if you have changed your name, changed party affiliation (for voting in primary elections), changed your residence to another county, and especially from a different state.
No, it is not necessary to declare a party unless you plan to vote in a primary.
Ongoing through election day, forms will also be available in the Office of the Vice President and Dean of Student Affairs in Nexus Building Room 307. We will mail your registration form to the appropriate county in New York State.
