Adelphi Athletics

Adelphi is an athletics powerhouse, the winner of 18 NCAA Division II National Championships. Support our 23 intercollegiate teams as they face their rivals in Northeast-10 conference play. Dining Services

Check your daily menu, understand our meal plans and learn about your catering options with Adelphi University Dining Services. We have plenty of eateries to choose from, such as the Panthers’ Den dining hall, Post Hall with all-you-care-to-eat dining, Legends Café, PAWS Café and PAWS Express, and the Back Bar Grill. Each location has its own identity and a wide variety of food. You’ll find multiple meal plan options to fit any lifestyle, whether you are a resident on campus or commuter, part time or full time.

Housing and Residential Life

Your home away from home at Adelphi, our residence halls provide programs, services and facilities that contribute to the intellectual, social and cultural development of our resident students. We house 1,300 students in seven clean and safe residence halls across New York, each supervised by a full-time professional residence hall director who lives and works in the hall throughout the year and supervises a staff of trained graduate and undergraduate resident assistants.

Health, Wellness and Safety

Your health, wellness and safety are our primary concerns at Adelphi. Learn about our health insurance requirements, medical clearance, health services, sexual health information, routine gynecological care and HIV testing, and the location of lactation rooms for new mothers—as well as mental health services like counseling, assistance with dependency and mental health workshops.

Career Services and Professional Development

The national winner of the 2020 John L. Blackburn Exemplary Models Award from the American Association of University Administrators, Adelphi’s Office of Career and Professional Development is finding new and innovative ways to successfully connect students and alumni to careers of purpose. Whether in person or online, they can help you determine your best career path, find a career-building internship, coach you on interview and résumé skills, locate a volunteer opportunity in an area of interest or arrange a work-study plan to help with your finances.

Getting Involved

You’ll find many ways to get involved at Adelphi—and it starts with reviewing the many opportunities we offer. You can volunteer, look into an Honor Society in your area of academic interest, join one of our diverse multicultural clubs, explore Greek life, become a tutor or mentor to help others, find leadership opportunities across campus, or jump into intramural sports or recreation.

Sustainability

A Princeton Review Green School, Adelphi is committed to sustainability. Our 100 percent organic Garden City campus, a registered arboretum, has been celebrated in the media for our use of ladybugs instead of damaging pesticides. Our Campus Sustainability Committee is a great place for you to volunteer, keep up-to-date on sustainability efforts and fight for a greener world.

Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (PAC)

Adelphi is a proud supporter of the performing arts for our students and our community. The Adelphi University Performing Arts Center is home to five state-of-the-art venues: the Concert Hall, the Recital Hall, the Olmsted Theatre, the Dance Theatre and the Black Box Theatre. Although they are primarily used by our students and faculty throughout the academic year, all our venues are also available to be rented by outside organizations.
