Interested in supporting a cause? Join us in making a difference by supporting various causes through our special edition sticker patches.
Building on the success of our Pink Patch Project, we’re growing our public awareness campaign with more causes and new designs, now in sticker form!
Our Public Safety Patch Project—Sticker Edition will raise money for diverse groups and organizations at Adelphi. Purchase your stickers and display them proudly to provide support and generate more engagement, conversation and learning.
We hope you’ll find some you like for yourself, your family and your friends. Everyone is welcome to participate.
How to Get Your Patch Sticker
A $1 donation is suggested and all proceeds will go toward the designated organization or fund.
- Order Online: You can order your patch online by making a donation.
- Pick Up In Person: Visit Adelphi’s Public Safety Office in Levermore Hall, Room 113 or the Public Safety Community Affairs Office in Room 104 in the Ruth S. Harley University Center.

May and November – Support Our Veterans
Our Support Our Veterans Patch sticker helps support Adelphi’s veteran community members and active-duty military students. It aims to:
- Show appreciation for Adelphi’s veteran community members.
- Provide resources and support to our veteran and active military students.
- Empower our community to recognize the sacrifices made by our nation’s heroes.
This patch represents Adelphi’s commitment to supporting our veterans and our core values of inclusivity, diversity, and community. Proceeds benefit the Adelphi University Veteran Resource Center and Student Lounge, which provides vital services and resources to our veterans, active-duty military students, and related community members.
April – Autism Awareness
Our Autism Acceptance Patch sticker promotes acceptance for our neurodiverse community members and individuals with autism spectrum disorder and supports our Bridges to Adelphi Program. It aims to:
- Educate individuals about their neurodiverse peers.
- Empower the autism community with informational resources.
- Support adults in the autism community through our Bridges to Adelphi program.
Our patch represents Adelphi’s support for neurodiverse individuals and our core values of inclusivity, diversity, inclusion and belonging.
April – Sexual Assault Awareness Month
Our Denim Day Patch sticker promotes awareness about sexual assault and demonstrates support for survivors of all forms of sexual violence. At Adelphi, Denim Day is celebrated during Sexual Assault Awareness Month to:
- Support survivors of sexual assault.
- Educate individuals about the realities of sexual assault.
- Encourage our community members to wear jeans as a way to acknowledge misconceptions surrounding sexual assault.
Adelphi’s Student Counseling Center partners with the Crisis Text Line to provide our community members with 24/7 access to crisis counselors. Text “PAWS” to 741741 for free text-based mental health support and crisis intervention.
October – Pink Patch Project
Our Pink Patch project sticker honors Breast Cancer Awareness Month and raises funds for our Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline and Support Program.
Originally established through the School of Social Work in 1980, Adelphi’s Breast Cancer Hotline and Support Program has been serving people coping with breast cancer. Its mission is to educate, support, empower, and advocate for breast cancer patients, professionals and the community.
In 2020, Sergeant Gerry Lennon of Adelphi’s Department of Public Safety and Transportation launched Adelphi’s Pink Patch Project to:
- Stimulate conversation within the community.
- Generate awareness of Adelphi’s hotline and support program.
- Grow awareness about the importance of early detection and the ongoing fight against breast cancer.
- Sustain hope for a cure.
