Adelphi University’s mission in sport-based youth development is to lead the field in education, training and research, thereby enhancing the practice of sport-based youth development locally, nationally and globally. This specialization prepares students for leadership positions in nonprofit organizations, interscholastic/intercollegiate sports settings, school systems, sport and summer camps, recreational and athletic leagues, professional sports settings and the corporate social responsibility sector of for-profit organizations.
We are committed to providing all our students with opportunities to apply what they learn directly to their current and future sport-industry roles. Fewer than 20 miles from New York City, Adelphi will serve as your home base as you gain experience in the field, from teams, leagues and nonprofits.
