¹Select MTH 113 Survey of Statistics (3 cr.); MTH 114 Statistics for Natural Sciences (4 cr.); PSY 137 Psychological Statistics (3 cr.); SWK 241 Quantitative Literacy for the Applied Social Science (3 cr.)

³Student may take SWK 245 Science of Social Issues or any 4 credit Bio 0106 course.

• Social Work Club (please speak with the Program Director to learn more)
• Join service clubs like CALIBER, and Circle K International.
• Apply for a Commuter or Resident Assistant. They will help you get acclimated at Adelphi and its community.
• Attend social awareness events such as Take Back the Night, or Relay for Life.
• Get to know your professors early, and ask for help rather than struggling.

• Consider getting involved with civic engagement opportunities to expand on experiences such as volunteering to help local communties.
• Explore the Jaggar Community Fellows Program which provides students with an opportunity to gain valuable experience in nonprofit sectors.
• Participate in diversity programs like out for lunch, and dinner and dialogue, which sparks informational conversations with staff and faculty members who are a part of the Adelphi community.
• Become involved with a campus organization, and run for a leadership position once you feel acclimated to the group. Apply for a summer internship with the Jaggar Community Fellows Program.

• Phi Alpha Honor Society (please speak with the Program Director to learn more)
• Volunteer at the Panther Pantry which helps students raise awareness about food insecurities
• Attend trainings such as Safezone, CORE, Green Dot or Title IX.
• Join honor societies like Gamma Beta Phi which is a service based organization.
• Discover internships through Handshake and through the Social Work department. Apply for the Jaggar Community Fellows Program.

• Attend a resume building workshop to help prepare you for upcoming opporutnities.
• Apply to be an Resident or Commuter Assitant to build connections without underclassmen or others within your degree.
• Attend an Alternative spring, Winter or Weekend Break.
• Sign up for the Leadership Certificate Program. Build your Linkedin profile and meet with the Center for Career and Professional Development to get ideas on conducting a job search.
