- Join service clubs like CALIBER, and Circle K International.
- Apply for a Commuter or Resident Assistant. They will help you get acclimated at Adelphi and its community.
- Attend social awareness events such as Take Back the Night, or Relay for Life.
- Get to know your professors early, and ask for help rather than struggling.

- Explore the Jaggar Community Fellows Program which provides students with an opportunity to gain valuable experience in nonprofit sectors.
- Participate in diversity programs like out for lunch, and dinner and dialogue, which sparks informational conversations with staff and faculty members who are a part of the Adelphi community.
- Become involved with a campus organization, and run for a leadership position once you feel acclimated to the group. Apply for a summer internship with the Jaggar Community Fellows Program.
