What is the Difference Between a Global Politics Minor and a Political Science Minor?
A Political Science minor explores all the subfields of political science, including public policy, American politics and institutions, and political theory. A Global Politics minor focuses on building awareness of politics within other political systems through the study of comparative politics and the politics of international relations.

Frequently Asked Questions About Adelphi’s Global Politics Minor
The Global Politics minor comprises 18 credits of coursework, typically 6 courses, including the required foundation courses in comparative politics (Comparative Political Analysis) and international relations (Theories and Practice of International Relations). Students can complete the requirements for the Global Politics minor in as little as two semesters.
Global Politics pairs well with any major that benefits from a global or international perspective, including business, economics, history, sociology, anthropology, foreign language, and philosophy.
Given the limited number of required courses and the flexibility of the elective courses, students can add the minor anytime before their senior year. Of course, the sooner students add the minor, the more elective courses they have to choose from.
