Policy Statement

This policy sets forth core principles and standards with respect to health insurance for students at Adelphi University. Health insurance is mandatory for all residential and international students.

Reason for Policy

The purpose of this policy is to make students aware of the requirements of and options related to health insurance at the University.

Who Is Governed by this Policy

All Residential and International Students

Policy

All residential and international students must have health insurance.

All residential and international students who do not choose to waive their school insurance by the pre-determined semester deadline will be automatically placed on, and billed for, the pre-selected policy.

Definitions

International Students: students attending Adelphi on an F or J visa.

Residential Students: students who reside on Adelphi University Campus in the residence halls
