Student life is a vital component of our vibrant community. We are committed to supporting students through student organizations, various interest groups and honor societies.
Adelphi University Student Nurses Association (AUSNA)
An organization composed of all students in the College of Nursing and Public Health. It was formed to bring constituents together to consider and discuss problems, issues and concerns affecting our students. The organization stimulates interest and involvement in professional and social issues and provides an environment conducive for informal socialization among its members.
Nursing Students’ Association of New York State
Founded in 1951, the Nursing Students’ Association of New York State has aided in the transition from undergraduate student nurses to the professional world. The association helps mold the future of nursing by first developing accountable, responsible and motivated leaders.
National Student Nurses Association
With a membership of approximately 56,000 nationwide, the National Student Nurses’ Association mentors the professional development of future registered nurses and facilitates their entrance into the profession by providing educational resources, leadership opportunities and career guidance.
International Nursing Honor Society: Sigma Theta Tau
For more than 50 years, Sigma Theta Tau has promoted nursing research and scholarly achievements of students and nursing practitioners and supported the learning, knowledge and professional development of nurses making a difference in healthcare around the world.
