Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,
Welcome to Spring 2024 at Adelphi! The start of the semester gives us an opportunity to reset, embrace new challenges and gain experiences that bring us closer to achieving our goals. I’m excited to share this journey with you.
As we build on all of our successes from 2023, I’m both proud and motivated to do more. Our commitment to diversity, service and collaboration allows us to unite in support of one another, advance critical thought and discover our passions. Along the way, we create extraordinary opportunities for personal and professional growth.
I often say this to our first-year students, but it applies to everyone from seniors and graduate students to new and longtime employees: take advantage of every chance to get involved. The spring semester includes some of our most impactful events, such as the Women’s Leadership Conference on March 9 and the Scholarship & Creative Works Conference on April 16. And there are dozens of ways to participate in community service, join support groups and clubs, enjoy the performing arts and sporting events, and make lasting connections.
While academic distinction, research and student success are central to Adelphi’s mission, your journey inward is equally important. My hope for all of us this year is to learn something about ourselves that we can use to make positive changes. This spirit of transformation is a driving force for Momentum 2 and a key to our progress.
I look forward to seeing the great things we will do together this semester before celebrating our newest alumni in the Class of 2024! I hope to see you on campus soon.
