“As we look over the year, it’s clear we have many talented colleagues to be proud of." --Gayle D. Insler, Ph.D., provost and senior vice president for academic affairs
Every year, Adelphi University recognizes and celebrates the contributions of its faculty with the presentation of the Faculty Excellence Awards. Awards are given in three categories—teaching, service and scholarly and creative work. On Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at the final faculty meeting of the year, Gayle D. Insler, Ph.D., provost and senior vice president for academic affairs, presented the 2016 awards to five faculty members.
“As we look over the year, it’s clear we have many talented colleagues to be proud of,” Dr. Insler said before the awards presentation. She added, “These awards are the result of a rigorous nomination and review process…The faculty committees that review these applications and are charged with decision-making have a very demanding and challenging role.”
