Dear Adelphi Community,
Below are advisories regarding on-campus parking, shuttle service, and local traffic disruptions during Thanksgiving break (Thursday, November 28 – Sunday, December 1). Adelphi University returns from break on Monday, December 2.
- On-campus parking:
If you plan to leave your vehicle on campus during the break, move it to the Motamed underground parking garage by Wednesday, November 27.
- Panther Express Shuttle:
The Adelphi Panther Express shuttle will stop running at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27, and not run on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, and the day after, November 29. Our new, permanent weekend shuttle schedule will run on Saturday, November 30 – Sunday, December 1, and all weekends following. Regular weekday service will resume on Monday, December 2.
- Traffic:
The Village of Garden City will host its annual Turkey Trot race on Thanksgiving Day. Street closures and traffic disruptions are expected between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., affecting travel to and from our main campus. We recommend departing campus before the start of the race or waiting until it is over.
