Jennifer Krol is an undergraduate student at Adelphi University. She is currently majoring in Creative Writing, in a 5 year masters program for Childhood Education. Jennifer is a writer, artist and future educator—who is passionate about gender equality and human rights.
The Culture Where No One is Culturally Competent: The Effects of Rape Culture on Children
Jennifer Krol will speak about how rape culture is instilled in girls as early as pre-elementary school, through micro aggressions that we don’t even realize we are perpetrating. Yet being more aware of these micro aggressions, changing the way we interact with others, and pushing for a more comprehensive sex education system in our schools, are some steps we can take to create a world without rape culture or sexual violence.
