Kristen E. Capezza, M.B.A. ’09, executive director of admissions, offers guidance on getting into the college of your dreams.
What does it take to get into the college of your dreams?
A recent article by Erika Prafder in the New York Post offers helpful guidance for aspiring college students: Show your extracurricular talents, passions and achievements.
Kristen E. Capezza, M.B.A. ’12, executive director of admissions at Adelphi University, spoke about the qualities she and her team look for in applicants.
“We want to see how a student will contribute to the college community, what sort of experiences they will bring, and what they will continue to get involved with,” Capezza told the Post.
She added, “I’d rather see someone not involved in 80 clubs, but [instead someone] with deep commitments to one or two. It demonstrates a genuine interest.”
