Jeffrey Greene is the Global Transaction Leader for Life Sciences at the firm of Ernst & Young, a global leader in the field of audit, tax, and transactions. Mr. Greene was elected to Adelphi Universityís Board of Trustees in March 2005.
Jeffrey Greene is the Global Transaction Leader for Life Sciences at the firm of Ernst & Young, a global leader in the field of audit, tax, and transactions. Mr. Greene has been with Ernst & Young since 1993. He has a strong record of accomplishment of originating and executing critical financial opinions for mergers and acquisitions, financings and restructurings. In his current position, he builds solutions for leading global companies to accelerate their transaction strategies. He also chairs the Innovation Committee to organize thought leadership and new service development. Prior to his current position, he served as Global Vice Chair, Corporate Finance. Prior to this, he served as the US National Director, Corporate Finance and grew revenue 20 percent in fiscal year 1999, doubling the prior five year average. He also achieved record per partner profitability of 50 percent higher than the companyís overall average and reduced personnel turnover by 35 percent. From 1993-1998, he served as the US National Director, Valuation Advisors, where he increased revenue to $30 million and built seven regional operations into one coherent national practice.
Before joining Ernst & Young, Mr. Greene was with Houlihan, Lokey, Howard & Zukin, Inc., where he led teams in selling and delivering financial options for major transactions and litigation. He was National Director of solvency opinions, representing a substantial contribution to the firmís profits. He was also a member of the Compensation Committee that designed and implemented a bonus allocation process.
Prior to this, Mr. Greene was with Atlantic Richfield Company, where he was the lead analyst for an $11 billion Gulf Oil acquisition attempt. He provided support for the CFO and Treasurer on acquisition and financing alternatives.
In 1982, Mr. Greene was with the International Energy Development Corp. in Geneva, Switzerland. Prior to this, he was with Energy & Environmental Analysis, Inc.
Mr. Greene has authored articles and book chapters on valuation, due diligence and performance measurement, and is a business valuation columnist for Valuation Strategies. In addition, he is a recognized expert witness in federal, district, bankruptcy, and U.S. Tax courts on valuation, fairness, and solvency matters.
Mr. Greene was elected to Adelphi University’s Board of Trustees in March 2005. A graduate of Dartmouth College with a B.A. in physics, Mr. Greene earned an M.B.A. in Finance and International Business from Harvard Business School.
