A senior acting major at Adelphi University from Hicksville, New York. James is also a founding member of the Long Island improv group Unrehearsed.
James Weippert was born and raised in Hicksville, New York. He loved entertaining people at a young age but could not decide on what he really wanted to do with his life until he auditioned for a school play his freshman year of high school. Landing a role in The Crucible, he realized acting was what he’d been searching for. From that moment forward, James performed in shows of all types, ranging from musicals and dramas to short plays and improv.
While at Adelphi University, James’ many interests were nurtured by the faculty. He took every opportunity offered to him: improved his vocal skills, his movement skills (including dance and stage combat) and his ability to analyze text. While mostly having a background in theatre and stage work, James is extremely interested in branching out to film and voiceover work. He is a founding member of the Long Island improv group Unrehearsed, as well as constantly creating his own new works with his peers.
