Student Worker of the Month for January 2015
Rezwan has been working in the Office of Information Technology since Fall 2014 as a Purchasing Clerk. He is a Computer Science major and plans to become a software engineer after graduating Adelphi in 2018.
Here are some of the comments we received from IT staff members and other student workers who nominated him:
“Rezwan has been an IT Procurement Clerk for about 5 months and in that time he has shown an impressive dedication to producing a high quality and volume of work. He has a great attitude when working as part of a team and is able to take on new challenges and work independently when it’s required. His ability to see the big picture and understand abstract concepts such as our purpose here of working for the greater good make him an asset to our area as well as to the IT department as a whole. I look forward to seeing him learn and grow as a student, employee and as a person as a whole.”“As an employee, Rezwan is both self-motivated and eager to provide assistance wherever needed. He is versed in all aspects of Procurement and CIO work and is constantly providing support to our team. He goes above and beyond to far exceed all of our expectations in the IT department. He has a fantastic work ethic and he is always willing to learn more to improve himself and help others. He has been an amazing asset to our department and it is truly a pleasure to work with Rezwan!“
“Rezwan is an outstanding student worker. He has become a true asset to not only the Procurement area, but the CIO group as a whole. Rez always puts in 110% while working in IT and continues to be a courteous and positive team member. He is willing to learn new tasks and takes initiative to improve upon our procedures.“
About IT’s Employee of the Month Nominations
It is important to demonstrate our appreciation for the contributions of our student workers to their teams, to the Office of Information Technology, and to Adelphi University as a whole. At the end of each month, we will honor one student worker who has demonstrated commitment, leadership, and initiative in their position. The recipient will be presented with a certificate and gift, as well as a featured spot on our IT website.
All IT employees (including student workers) are encouraged to submit nominations for their choice for Student Worker of the Month. Your nominee should display qualities deserving of recognition.
