Levine cited for Outstanding Work
Stephen Levine is the communications department’s award winner for “Outstanding Student” for the spring semester. Stephen has been instrumental in upgrading The Delphian, and is an active member of our community, most recently as a panel member during Press Day. Stephen also works as a freelance journalist, and his efforts have been recognized by the New York State Press Association.
Praise for Poet Award
Praise Odigie, a sophomore Communications Major, won the “Things I’ll Never Say” contest sponsored by Educators for Fair Consideration for her poem, “How an Undocumented Immigrant Looks at America.” Praise was flown to San Francisco where she hobnobbed with four other award winners and a wide array of successful artists and journalists. Praise continues her work on a video documentary on undocumented immigrants, “Life in the Shadows.” A video of Praise reading her poem can be accessed at www.thingsillneversay.org.
