Irving Roth, a survivor of the Nazi death camps at Auschwitz and Buchenwald, recounted his experiences and spoke about the importance of Holocaust remembrance in a campus event on April 23. Roth, whose family perished at Auschwitz, is director of the Holocaust Resource Center at Temple Judea in Manhasset, New York.
The event was sponsored by Adelphi’s Department of History, the Jewish Student Union, Chabad Adelphi, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, and the Office of the Provost. Fios1 News did a feature on the event that is available online.
