GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement that unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. Each year Adelphi participates to support current Panthers.
Adelphi is raising funds to support four important campus causes this year and generous donors are matching donations for three of them—doubling the impact of those gifts. What can you do to help? In addition to making a donation to the cause(s) most important to you, you can sign up to be an Advocate! By using the digital tools we provide, you can single-handedly increase awareness of the Adelphi causes you’re passionate about and help raise funds that make a big difference for our students and community.

When sharing about your Adelphi causes on social media, use the hashtags #Give4Adelphi and #GivingTuesday to make your posts part of a larger movement. Together, we can make a single GivingTuesday a big success for Adelphi.
Choose Your Cause
- The Adelphi Fund is a lifeline for the University that supports everything and everyone at Adelphi, wherever the need is greatest. One married alumni couple has agreed to generously match donations to the Fund, up to $12,000 on GivingTuesday—paying it forward to future students of Adelphi.
- The Student Emergency Support Fund enables the University to help students defray unexpected essential costs so they can focus on getting to graduation. Adelphi University Board of Trustees member Leonard C. Achan ’99 is matching gifts to the Fund up to $2,500, to help support Adelphi students in crisis. Your GivingTuesday gift will go twice as far.
- The Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program is the nation’s first and oldest hotline that has been providing support and community to those battling breast cancer and their families for over 40 years. Adelphi University Board of Trustees member Ronald B. Lee ’67 will be matching $1,250 in donations, dollar for dollar, to the program.
- The Panther Pantry supports members of our community by providing meals, school supplies and winter apparel. Help those in need warm up for the holidays.
