Mr. McCabe succeeds Robert Hartwell, who recently announced his retirement after 26 years in the post.
In July, Danny McCabe began his appointment as Adelphi’s new director of athletics and campus recreation. He succeeds Robert Hartwell, who announced his retirement this past spring, after a 26-year tenure at Adelphi. Mr. McCabe was previously executive associate athletic director at Hofstra University. He has also served in athletics administration at Providence College and the University of Miami. A Providence College graduate, he holds an M.B.A. from Fairfield University.
