On December 18, Adelphi University was presented with a citation from Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano for “contributions to the enhancement of our region and the betterment of our residents.”
The Office of Information Technology donates computers, printers, and monitors to the Coordinated Agency for Spanish Americans, which serves the Hispanic and Latino communities of Nassau. Recently Gary Kushnick, Manager of Network Technicians, also consulted with CASA’s computer laboratory improvement and redesign. He and the University were commended for their exemplary dedication to the community.
Adelphi has been involved with CASA for the past five years, through both the Office of Information Technology and the Levermore Global Scholars program. The IT department plans to continue its donations of equipment to the CASA program and other nonprofit organizations.
