It is estimated that 1 in 8 women in America will be diagnosed with breast cancer, but early detection can save lives.

Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program is urging New York women to schedule mammograms and health screenings.

“Be intentional…be present…be informed…” read the ads that are being published as a community service throughout the state.

We all need to practice self-care, and so we are urging women and men to take steps for good health.

These positive health practices also include staying active, getting adequate sleep and eating more plant-based foods.

People concerned about breast cancer can call the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program at 800.877.8077 to find out how to get a free or low-cost mammogram in their communities or to get answers to questions they may have about breast cancer (in English or Spanish). The hotline is staffed by trained volunteers who are breast cancer survivors.
