Two new rankings spotlight Adelphi University’s Robert B. Willumstad School of Business.
Niche ranks Adelphi 23rd among its 50 Best Colleges for Business in New York out of the more than 150 colleges and universities it reviewed. Niche, an online service that offers “rigorous analysis” of data about educational organizations, uses information from the U.S. Department of Education as well as reviews by students and graduates. See the rankings online.
Top Management Degrees, an online service that focuses on business and management education, ranks Adelphi 16th among M.B.A. programs in the state—and 25th for undergraduate business programs. These rankings consider accreditation, affordability, average alumni salary and prestige. Adelphi “combine[s] the dynamic of a large university with the familiarity of a small community—offering the best of both [worlds],” the rankings site notes, pointing out one review. “With multiple internship opportunities, small class sizes and graduates reporting earning $46,700 in their early careers, we would have to agree.”
“While we don’t want to overemphasize rankings, we are always pleased when the high quality of our programs is recognized by external reviewers,” said Willumstad School Dean Rajib Sanyal, Ph.D. “I note that in both listings we are ranked alongside other well-regarded M.B.A. programs. Students and employers have always known the tremendous value of the Willumstad M.B.A. and these rankings further validate that.”
Adelphi’s Willumstad School has earned accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), a distinction shared by fewer than 5 percent of business schools internationally. AACSB recognizes highly qualified faculty, a commitment to continual improvement and a curriculum responsive to the needs of business.
