Adelphi University's Summer Pre-College program will return to an in-person format for Summer 2022. The program is open to rising sophomores, juniors and seniors in high school.
Scheduled to take place from July 17 through August 12, this summer’s program features an updated curriculum that will allow students to explore an academic area of interest while discovering all that Adelphi has to offer.
The 2022 Summer Pre-College program features both credit-bearing and noncredit certificate options. The residential, credit-bearing offerings will run between July 17 and July 30 and include Art and Digital Production; Business and Entrepreneurship; Introduction to Nursing; Teaching and Teacher Education; Science, Medicine, and Health (premed); Psychology and Pop Culture; and Social Work and Society. Participants who complete the courses will have the opportunity to live and learn at Adelphi’s flagship Garden City campus and receive three transferable college credits.
Noncredit certificate program options will run for a week each from August 1 through August 12 at Adelphi’s Manhattan Center and include NYC Arts Exploration and Professional Sport as a Business and Career.
Students enrolled in Adelphi’s Summer Pre-College program will take exciting and challenging courses taught by Adelphi’s professors and instructors, as well as meet with experts in the field. In addition, participants will take off-campus trips, including ones to nearby New York City hotspots. Past trips have ranged from Coney Island’s Luna Park to the New York Hall of Science in Queens.
College Consensus recently ranked Adelphi’s Summer Pre-College program among the top 30 in the United States for its personalized, hands-on, high-impact learning experience.
