Adelphi softball has cracked the national rankings for the first time since 2007.
In April, the NCAA Division II Softball Poll (released by The National Fastpitch Coaches Association), gave Adelphi softball a national ranking for the first time since 2007. As of last month, the team, under first-year head coach Breanne Nasti, had 15 wins in 16 games (and an overall 25–7 record), which pushed them to No. 13 in the poll. Adelphi was the only Northeast-10 Conference team to appear.
On Saturday, the Panthers captured the Northeast-10 Conference Championship and will compete in the upcoming East Regional Championship.
