Students enrolled in Adelphi's Specialization in Human Resource Management can now apply for the SHRM Certified Professional exam.
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has officially recognized that Adelphi University’s Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a Specialization in Human Resource Management degree program fully aligns with the SHRM HR Curriculum Guidelines, established in 2005.
SHRM has the support of AACSB International to bring a similar level of commonality to HR degree programs that is required of AACSB accredited Schools of Business. Students enrolled in an HR degree program at an educational institution aligned to SHRM’s core curriculum guidelines will be able to apply for the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) exam. Eligible students must be in their final year of study in an HR degree program and must have a minimum of 500 hours of relevant experience. Students who earn their SHRM-CP will immediately be able to display their credential.
