Community Garden
The Adelphi Community Garden is a sustainable agricultural source created by students, for students.
The Community Garden was constructed in the summer of 2022 after students and faculty alike expressed their interest in providing our students with fresh produce.
Located outside between Linen and Eddy Halls, the Community Garden—“Panther Patch” —is a place for students to take up gardening or agriculture and grow whatever they like. The garden has been seen to grow bell peppers, winter squash, lettuce, tomatoes, Egyptian walking-onion and sunflowers.
All food produced from the Community Garden is donated to the Panther Pantry, giving an opportunity for food-insecure community members to have access to fresh and sustainable fruits and vegetables. The garden is generously sponsored by the Adelphi Women’s Giving Circle.
Community Garden volunteer days are posted on the Adelphi Gives Back via MyAULife.
