The cookbook offers 30 recipes using ingredients found in the Panther Pantry and the meal kits contain everything pantry-goers need for Thanksgiving except the turkey.
Food insecurity can be found anywhere—even on a college campus. Adelphi’s Panther Pantry can help—providing members of our community with basic food items, free of charge.
The pantry addresses other needs, too, offering personal care products, clothing and household items. All are free for the asking. Just drop by the pantry or order online from our virtual menu. Either way, we’ll protect your privacy, as all pantry use is confidential.
Where We’re Located
The pantry is located on the lower level of Earle Hall in Room 003 on Adelphi University’s main Garden City campus. Walk-ins are welcome whenever the Pantry is open.

How Can You Help?
While the pantry doesn’t accept food donations, you can help by offering financial support. Give securely with a credit or debit card online. We accept cash as well as checks made payable to Adelphi University, with “Panther Pantry” written on the memo line. Donations should be delivered to The Office of University Advancement at Nexus Building, Suite 200. Employees can also donate via payroll deduction.
The pantry relies on volunteers to staff our physical location, distribute food, take orders and shelve items. If you’re interested in helping out, contact the Division of Student Affairs at 516.877.3660 or divisionofstudentaffairs@adelphi.edu.
Located outside between Linen and Eddy Halls, the Community Garden provides fresh and sustainable fruits and vegetables to the Panther Pantry. The garden is generously sponsored by the Adelphi Women’s Giving Circle.
Community Garden volunteer days are posted on the Adelphi Gives Back via MyAULife.
Help us make sure that everyone in our community knows about the pantry. Tell your friends and encourage those you know who may need assistance. Pantry use is confidential because our goal is to reach as many people as possible who are in need by respecting and supporting them.
Our Panther Pantry Outreach and Nutrition Team will also work to spread awareness of food insecurity and also give tips for nutritious and healthy meals to the Adelphi community.
