Partnerships and Collaborations
Fostering diplomacy through international collaboration.
United Nations Academic Impact
UN Academic Impact is a global initiative that aligns institutions of higher education with the United Nations in actively supporting ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, literacy, sustainability and conflict resolution. It asks each participating college or university to actively demonstrate support for at least one of those principles each year.
U.S. Center for Citizen Diplomacy
The U.S. Center for Citizen Diplomacy promotes opportunities for all Americans to be citizen diplomats and affirms the indispensable value of citizen involvement in international relations. In an era of increasing globalization, more and more people develop their most lasting impressions through face-to-face, personal encounters, when people visit the United States or when Americans travel abroad. In this context, the ‘citizen diplomat’ is a powerful force in defining the United States to the rest of the world.
United Nations University for Peace
The University for Peace was established as a Treaty Organization in an international agreement adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in Resolution 35/55. It is the only university in the world with the following mission:
“To provide humanity with an international institution of higher education for peace and with the aim of promoting among all human beings the spirit of understanding, tolerance and peaceful coexistence, to stimulate cooperation among peoples and to help lessen obstacles and threats to world peace and progress, in keeping with the noble aspirations proclaimed in the Charter of the United Nations.”

BGIA has small and highly selective semester and summer programs.
Global Youth Connect
Global Youth Connect (GYC) programs provide young leaders from diverse ethnic, national, economic, and religious backgrounds with opportunities to learn more about human rights and enhance their ability to take action on pressing human rights issues. GYC empowers young activists from around the globe to meet face-to-face, exchange ideas, and take action together in collaboration with grassroots NGOs, policymakers, and other stakeholders.
