Faculty Tech Guide
- eCampus: All Adelphi faculty are provided with a user account (username and password) which grants access to our eCampus portal and a variety of resources including email, Moodle and more. You can also manage your password quickly and easily.
- Email: All faculty are issued an official Adelphi Gmail account. Note that faculty/staff email addresses end in @adelphi.edu, whereas student addresses end in @mail.adelphi.edu.
- Google Workspace: All faculty are issued @adelphi.edu Google accounts with 30GB of storage that feature access to Gmail, Chat, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sites, Sheets and more. If you have any issues with these apps, please review Google’s Support.
- Microsoft OneDrive: Store, access, and securely share your files from anywhere. With 5TB of storage, we recommend this platform for long-term and large file storage needs.
- Chat with Adele: Our AI chatbot allows you to get quick answers to a range of University questions at any time of day.
- Wireless Network: Use the eduroam network at Adelphi and member campuses worldwide, and then sign in with your username and password.
- Zoom: Adelphi employees have licensed Zoom accounts for easy connections with peers and students, accessible via the eCampus portal or adelphiuniversity.zoom.us.
- Google Chat: Google Chat is a Google Workspace application that allows chat, one on one calls, and video conferencing within the Gmail interface to converse with others in the Adelphi Community.
- CLASS: CLASS enables instructors to access advisees’ academic records, register students on-demand, and view class rosters.
- Degree Audit: Use this advisement tool, available via eCampus, to review advisee course history, and identify courses that still need to be taken for degree requirements.
- Research Computing Services: Get assistance with grant proposals, data encryption and specialized networking and software requirements to bolster your research efforts.
- Syllabus Upload: Available on eCampus, you can upload your syllabi to students who aren’t enrolled in your course through Course Search. This will aid their course selection and registration decisions.
- Website Updates, Events and Promotions: You can promote campus events and initiatives by listing them on the Adelphi University website. You can also choose to advertise on eCampus an digital screens across campus.
- Equipment Loans: You can borrow laptops, cameras, and accessories at the Help Desk.
- Purchasing and Discounts: Adelphi has teamed up with companies you already know and trust to provide some special tech offers to our faculty members. Find what procurement information you need for departmental purchases as well as exclusive tech discounts.

- Moodle: Deliver course materials to your students online, post/receive assignments, and facilitate class discussions. Adelphi University’s primary online learning environment fosters active learning, understanding and collaboration. Find out more about Moodle.
- LinkedIn Learning: Adelphi University faculty and students have access to the entire LinkedIn Learning video library of engaging, top-quality courses taught by industry experts.
- Telephones: If a new phone needs to be installed or there is an issue with an existing phone, please contact the Help Desk at 516.877.3340 or helpdesk@adelphi.edu.
- Voicemail: Set up and access your campus voicemail.
- Mobile Printing: Submit print jobs using your smartphone, tablet, or laptop to various printers around campus.
- Phoenix Bubble Grader: Easily print multiple-choice exams and automatically grade them using departmental Konica Minolta printers.
- Your Faculty Profile: Creating and maintaining a robust and up-to-date profile helps the community get to know your interests, research, creative projects and accomplishments. If you have questions, please contact the Faculty Center for Professional Excellence at fcpe@adelphi.edu.
- My Profile: Ensure your personal and professional information is correct and up-to-date using the self-editable profile tool in eCampus. You can change your preferred name, specify pronouns, list your degrees, licensure and credentials, and upload a professional headshot to the public directory.
- Faculty Global Reach: This map provides a visual representation of Adelphi faculty members’ vibrant international connections. You can update “International Experiences” via Your Faculty Profile.
- Request a Project with IT: We help ensure that any project that has a technology component can be completed within scope, on budget and on schedule. To initiate your project with us, please complete the project request form.
- Emergency Messaging: Sign up to receive text messages and calls about campus emergencies, cancellations, and vital weather information through RaveAlert.
- Password Management: Change or reset your password. Authenticate via Microsoft by registering your phone, an alternate email account or through the PMT Registration Form.
- Information Security: Protect your devices and personal information from threats. You can report suspicious emails to abuse@adelphi.edu or the Help Desk, and report lost devices to Public Safety.
- Multifactor Authentication (MFA) and Duo: MFA protects the university from potential hackers, reduces the impact of accounts being compromised. It secures faculty research and can potentially reduce the need for password updates.
- Apporto: Remote Lab Access to PC Software: Apporto is a web-based virtual computer lab that provides remote access for students and faculty to most software applications normally found in an on-campus computer lab or classroom.
- Departmental Software Purchases: Submit an IT procurement request to begin the requisition process for your institutional order.
- Microsoft Office: You can download a free license of Microsoft Office by using your Adelphi email account. If you run into any issues with Office, please check out Microsoft Office Support.
- Software Discounts: As Adelphi faculty, you have access to exclusive deals on software and accessories from Microsoft, Adobe, SPSS and many more.
- Software Download Options: Several free software applications can help you in your work or studies at Adelphi University.
