Printing for Students
In an effort to reduce paper use, the University established a print management program for students printing in campus labs and lounges.
Lab and Lounge Printing
When you print you will have a box that pops up asking for your username and password, and indicating the status of your printing account. Learn about mobile printing from your own device.
Students have access to color printing in Swirbul Library (“Color Printer 1” or “Color Printer 2”).
Print Management Program
We use a print management program called “Pcounter” to manage your printing balance. Pcounter printing management is installed in all computer labs to manage your printing allotment. The amount of black-and-white prints allocated per semester for currently matriculated students is as follows:
Semester | Amount of Black-and-White Prints Allocated |
---|---|
Fall Semester | 400 Prints |
Spring Semester | 400 Prints |
Summer Session | 250 Prints (total for Sessions I and II) |
After selecting to print a document or page, you will see a pop-up window in which you will be required to enter your username and universal password. Pcounter will then send your document to the selected printer. Each black and white print deducts $0.05 from your printing balance and $0.75 for each color print.
Please Note: The charge is PER PRINT. If you print double-sided on one piece of paper, you will have two prints deducted from your account.
Managing Your Print Balance
Students and alumni can manage their funds on eCampus or AU2GO. Check Your Print Balance and Add Funds (Login required, excludes guests)
