Request a Mentor

Program participants in the International Student Mentor program must be new, first-time international students on a student F/J visa. Mentees will be skillfully matched with a committed faculty or staff member, and can expect to receive personalized support as you navigate your studies, cultural adjustments, and social experiences at Adelphi

Mentees are expected to:

• Be responsive to their mentor’s outreach and maintain open communication.
• Meet as often as your schedule permits.
• Take initiative to drive the relationship and be responsible for your own career development and planning.
• Ask questions.
• Keep any commitments made.
• Focus and be interested in getting feedback and measuring how you are perceived.
• Elicit mentor’s advice on developing a professional network and other informal relationships.
