Adelphi University: Supporting Our Vulnerable Populations.

Adelphi University is dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where every member of our community can work, learn, and thrive without fear of harassment, intimidation, or discrimination.

We recognize that students who identify as part of vulnerable populations—including Immigrant-intending, Asylum-seeking, DACA, Dreamers, International, Temporary Protected Status, and Undocumented students—may face unique challenges as they prepare for and navigate their academic journeys.

To address these barriers, International Services continuously monitors issues related to immigration and regulatory changes that impact our university community. When necessary, the International and Immigration Task Force activates a cross-campus response team to review student support resources and recommend strategies to eliminate obstacles to student success.

At Adelphi, we are committed to providing the guidance, resources, and support our students need to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

At Adelphi, we are committed to providing the guidance, resources, and support our students need to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Together, we continue to uphold values of empathy, respect, and collaboration.

The International and Immigration Task Force serves as a vital resource for the campus community to support and advocate for the rights, privacy and well-being of all students. By actively monitoring changes in immigration policies and regulations, the task force reviews student support resources and recommends strategies to eliminate barriers to success, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all.

Adelphi University is unwavering in its dedication to safeguarding the rights and privacy of all students. The University does not voluntarily disclose information about any student, irrespective of immigration or citizenship status, to governmental agencies or authorities. Information is shared only when legally mandated through a subpoena or court order.

In alignment with this commitment, we uphold established university policies and protocols designed to safeguard our community. Please find these outlined below in support of our vision for an inclusive and secure environment.
