Meet Our Staff
As the executive director of international services, Wendy Badala, MA ’20, serves as the primary designated school official (DSO) and responsible officer overseeing university compliance responsibilities and federal regulations for international students and scholars at all university campus locations. Wendy holds an MA in Psychology from Adelphi University and has 20 years of extensive training and experience in the field of international education and immigration advisement.
An International Student Advisor, Anna Di Fede provides guidance and support to incoming, current, and progressing students in the Adelphi University International (AUI) program. Anna holds an MA in Higher Education and Student Affairs from New York University and has a particular passion for international higher education.
As the administrative assistant of international services and the center for international education, Rosemary Bradshaw provides professional support and services to the international student and scholar community. Beginning her journey at Adelphi in 2002, Rosemary has received the President’s Award for Excellence and serves as a Steward in the Local 153, OPEIU Union. Rosemary is dedicated to the development and success of the international student community.
Student Staff
As an international student from Kazakhstan, Aruzhan is available to assist and support current and incoming international students. Aruzhan is a Mathematics major planning to work in the Data Science field following graduation. She is part of Honors College and serves as a Vice-President for the International Student Society (ISS). Aruzhan speaks Kazakh, Russian, English, German, and French. She likes to travel and meet new people all over the world.
An international student from Sweden, Joacim is available to assist and support current and incoming international students. Joacim is pursuing a Master’s in Business Analytics. As captain of the Adelphi Men’s Soccer Team, he describes himself as an “individual born in a small Swedish town and wants to lead with a good example in the world.” He is also part of Adelphi’s Leadership Fellows Program, where he engages in professional development and leadership activities. Joacim is fluent in Swedish and English, with intermediate proficiency in Portuguese and Spanish.
An international student from Spain, Javier is available to assist and support current and incoming international students. Javier is a Business Management major, currently taking a minor in Biology. He loves sports, travel and social life. Javier describes himself as “a person who has a great opportunity for the future, and who wants to have good experiences abroad”. Javier is fluent in Spanish and English. Prior to Adelphi, he attended high school in Godella, Valencia.
An international student from Kazakhstan, Madina is available to assist and support current and incoming international students. As a Marketing major, Madina plans to work in the field of digital advertisement following graduation. Passionate about world diplomacy and political science, Madina enjoys math, reading, and debating, and is responsible for the office social media updates.
