Accreditation
Ensuring quality and promoting transparency throughout our institution, all while showcasing learning outcomes and making data-driven decisions for improvement.
Adelphi University recognizes the importance and necessity of gaining external accreditation by professional and educational organizations. Adelphi University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, an institutional accreditor recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE). The University’s professional schools and related programs (See Gordon F. Derner School of Psychology, Robert B. Willumstad School of Business, College of Education and Health Sciences, College of Nursing and Public Health and School of Social Work) are accredited by nationally recognized specialized professional associations and accreditors. External University accreditation procedures require that both academic learning and non-academic processes are defined, planned, implemented, measured and adjusted. Each school has developed course, program and school-wide learning outcomes that are connected to industry and professional standards, as well as the University’s mission, vision and strategic goals. For more information about the University and each professional schools accreditation, please visit Adelphi’s accreditation page.
