Personal Statement

I believe education should be a dialogue between professor and student. Each should walk away enriched. I think work habits are more important than talent or intelligence. They are more unique in the world. I feel if you aren't having fun, you are doing something wrong. The secret to life is to pitch your tent on top of what you love.

Aesthetically I am interested in “density” and the intersection of elements at the service of narrative.

"Film Festival Screening". Murdered Intersecting Memoirs was screened as a feature on the New Filmmakers series. Anthology Films. February 2011.

"Film Festival Screening". Murdered Intersecting Memoirs was screened at the New York Downtown Feature Film Festival. Duo Theater. November 2010.

Honors and Accomplishments

My most recent feature film, WHEN THE SUN CAME FOR THEM, has won a number of awards including a Human Rights Silver Award at the World Human Rights Festival in Jakarta.
