Fall 2007: $5000. Xeric Grant for comic book self-publishers from the Xeric Foundation(xericfoundation.org). This grant covered the production costs of my book "Look Out! Monsters", which was printed and distributed to comics shops in the Spring of 2008. In 2009 I was awarded a faculty development grant for $5000. which paid for the printing of the follow-up mixed-media comic book; "Fandancer", which was a "Notable Comic" in "America's Best Comics of 2011".
2003: Village Voice "Best of New York": "Best Desecrator of a New York Institution" awarded for my comic book collages using the New York Times.
