Date & Time: October 30 12:30pm – 1:30pm
Location: Virtual

This workshop introduces higher education faculty to trauma-informed teaching strategies, grounded in the six principles of trauma-informed care developed by SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration). These principles, foundational in the trauma field, are adapted for the educational context to assist faculty in creating more trauma-aware classrooms. Participants will reflect on their teaching practices, explore techniques for creating safe and trust-based environments, and gain practical tools to support all students, particularly those with trauma histories.
