Join us for an engaging and thought-provoking discussion of James by Percival Everett. 

This compelling novel explores themes of identity, race, and personal reflection. James draws subtle yet powerful parallels to Mark Twain’s Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.

We’ll explore how Everett’s modern take on these themes contrasts with and responds to Twain’s iconic work. We invite readers of all backgrounds and perspectives to come together and explore the relevance of this story.
