Pause for Peace: A Moment For Reflection and Community
Event Actions
Students, faculty and staff are invited to join Adelphi’s Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging for a shared moment of reflection and togetherness.
Join us at our Garden City Campus Peace Pole (by the entrance to Alumnae Hall near our native plant garden) for brief remarks followed by a quiet walk together as we pause and hold space for individual reflection and our collective hopes for healing and peace in the world.
Our campus peace pole was erected in 2024 as a symbol of our community’s hope for “Peace on Earth.” It is engraved with “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in four different languages and is located at the entrance of Alumnae Hall by the native species garden.
