National Coming Out Day Open Mic featuring Christina Naime

After almost 12 years in the world of financial consulting, Christina left her six-figure corporate job to pursue her love for media and authentic story-telling as part of her journey to finding her true self and designing a life of which she feels proud. As the founding member of “Pretty Penny Films”, a film production company, and co-host of “After Queerful Consideration”, a queer media podcast, Christina has made it her mission to highlight diverse stories and to push for better representation of the LGBTQ+ community in the media. Originally from the Caribbean, she speaks out boldly on the antiquated cultural, societal and religious pressures imposed on the queer community in the hope that she can change mindsets on and foster the embrace of the LGBTQ+ lived experience.

Following Christina’s talk, we’ll have an open mic for LGBTQ+ students and faculty. All are welcome to learn about our LGBTQ+ communities.
