Cyber Terrorism, Ransomware, Phishing: Protecting Ourselves in the Digital Age

Russell Safirstein BBA ’89 is Partner in Charge of Anchin Digital Risk Solutions (ADRS), and President and CEO of Redpoint Cyber Security, both subsidiaries of Anchin Block & Anchin. ADRS delivers and develops technology-driven risk and compliance advisory, and analytics-based services and Redpoint is focused on providing Cyber Security services to its clients.
Prior to joining Anchin, Safirstein was a Partner with Prager Metis Technology, leading their AI and Machine Learning initiatives, in addition to their cybersecurity and risk advisory practices. He also co-founded Paracon Group, and led its advanced analytic delivery platform as well as the balance of its risk advisory services. He held led internal audit for Liquidnet, MetLife, and Roslyn Savings Bank. Safirstein started his career with KPMG (Peat Marwick) in their Financial Institution practice after graduating from Adelphi University with BBA in Accounting.
