Location: Ruth S. Harley University Center, Thomas Dixon Lovely Ballroom 201

Join the BCGU for this presentation led by Professor Juan Battle (CUNY, Graduate Center), which will focus on the role and influence of social movements.

This presentation and workshop will provide a summary of social movement theory as the groundwork for better understanding past (Black American Civil Rights) and present (Make America Great Again) movements. Ultimately, participants will be able to more strategically investigate other social movements of interest; e.g., Black Lives Matter, LGBTQ+, disability rights movement, ecofeminism, environmental justice movement, etc.
