This course will anchor students in the foundations of attachment theory, which is in part rooted in object relations and psychodynamic theories and will focus on how we become individual humans in the context of relationships with significant caregivers.

Throughout March, join the Adelphi community in celebrating the achievements of women throughout history.

In this 4-day program, offering 12 hours of continuing education, learners will gain knowledge of geriatric mental health challenges, including social isolation, depression, suicide, anxiety, hoarding and substance abuse.

Our “Healing the Inner Voice” workshop will use creative arts and a variety of therapeutic modalities designed to help participants discover new ways to gain personal insight and enhance their coping skills.

Adelphi University School of Social Work Continuing Education has launched an 8-hour online LMSW/LCSW test preparation workshop. 

Held every spring, and in partnership with the Nassau Counselors Association, the CAP conference brings together guidance and admissions counselors, parents, administrators and experts to discuss important issues in our community.

In this presentation, we review how to complete an appropriate differential assessment and diagnosis of OCD and eating disorders while recognizing the intersection of symptoms across diagnoses and the shared psychological mechanisms that support these conditions.
