Apply to to Become a Student Leader
There are so many ways to become a strong leader. Adelphi students are encouraged to apply for one of many open positions on campus.
- Peer Assistant Leaders: The mentors to the first-year students, who help with their transition to Adelphi. PALs communicate frequently with first-year students, lead their mentees during Welcome Weekend, provide programming after Welcome Weekend, and lend support to first-year students and the Center for Student and Community Engagement throughout the year.
- Welcome Weekend Coordinators: Student leaders who support Peer Assistant Leaders throughout Welcome Weekend. WWCs assist in taking attendance, supervising the group when needed, assisting with icebreaker activities, and helping with events during Welcome Weekend.
- First-Year Community Action Program Leader: The leaders who help our first-year students through 3 days of volunteer work. FCAP Leaders lead icebreaker activities and ensure that all students are safe and on task during volunteer projects.
- Commuter Assistant: Provides first-year commuter students with a mentor and resource to all things Adelphi. CAs keep in contact with their students throughout the first year, helping them navigate and get involved on campus.
