Student Organizations
There are a number of ways to get involved at Adelphi to prepare you for your future profession in education.
Honor Societies and International Organizations
Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society
Kappa Delta Pi was founded in 1911 to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching. Using a variety of programs, services, and resources, they support and advance educators throughout the phases and levels of their teaching careers.
Phi Delta Kappa International
The Phi Delta Kappa (PDK) was established in 1906 to support teachers and school leaders by strengthening their interest in the profession through the entire arc of their career. Join Adelphi University Chapter 1604!
Student-led Clubs
Future Teachers Association Club
Join a vibrant community of undergraduate students passionate about shaping the future of education. Whether you’re aspiring to become a teacher or simply interested in the field, our club offers a supportive environment to explore, learn, and grow.
Volunteering
P.E.A.C.E. Afterschool Program
Adelphi education students can tutor, assist with learning activities and conduct enrichment programming with diverse children in neighboring multicultural schools. “Children are children and all children deserve to learn,” noted one volunteer participant after their P.E.A.C.E. experience.
