Student Observation

A look inside the Alice Brown Early Learning Center

Adelphi undergraduate and graduate students may observe children 18 months through 5 years in action at the Alice Brown Early Learning Center (ELC) as required through course work.

Located on the south side of the Garden City, NY campus near the practice fields, the program is open Monday through Friday.

Students may observe at the following times:

• 8:00am to 12:00pm
• 3:00pm to 6:00pm

Paid Employment

The ELC employs undergraduate students through work-study or campus employment, and graduate assistants can work directly with children under the guidance and mentorship of professional staff.

Volunteering

Our Early Learning Center administrators collaborate with campus clubs and organizations to offer children extra-curricular activities.
