It provides exceptional opportunities for future teachers to become volunteers or paid graduate assistants; observe learning; and apply teaching theories learned in classroom settings.
Graduate Assistantships
School of Education assistantships ease the cost of your education and help you gain valuable hands-on experience. You may be tutoring at the Literary Center, observing children at the Early Learning Center, assisting with administrative tasks, or participating in research or special projects.
Small Classes, Global Approach
Xiao-lei Wang, PhD, the dean of Ruth S. Ammon College of Education and Health Sciences (CEHS), guided a team of Adelphi pupils on an excursion to Italy. In the video “Following in the Footsteps of Educational Thinkers,” Dr. Wang stated that the College has a philosophy of “expanding the classroom to the world.” During the journey, CEHS students visited various destinations, including Rome, Pompeii, Florence, Pisa, and Venice.
