History of the Alice Brown Early Learning Center
We have a long history of helping children learn and grow.
The Alice Brown Early Learning Center (formerly the Child Activity Center) has been providing part-and full-day programs for pre-schoolers for more than 30 years. Adelphi’s new Early Learning Center facility was dedicated in September 2008 in honor of Alice C. Brown MA ’88. Our facility continues our proven tradition of providing outstanding care to the families of the Adelphi community.
We’re Accredited
National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). This honor recognizes the Early Learning Center as a program of quality that strives to reach the highest professional standards.
The facility houses one large, bright toddler classroom and three preschool classrooms complete with computers and printers in each room. The center will serve as an experiential learning site for the educational development, practicum and research needs of the student body and faculty of Adelphi University.
