As patients, analysts, and citizens, we carry the inherited wounds of our forebears.

This unknown history  affects our lives, our relationships, and our culture. These effects also appear in the clinical setting and can result in a therapeutic impasse. In our political and cultural context, this history sponsors  escalating violence. Dr Grand will illustrate the layered manifestations of this history,in psyche and culture. In particular, Dr. Grand is interested in the ways that our hidden perpetrator legacies fuel destructive repetitions.  This talk will incorporate both clinical and cultural phenomena.
